Who we are

Your data stays on your phone

Gustav works without an account, without a server and without an internet connection. Profiles, calendar, hours, extras, payslips, invoices and payments are stored only on your iPhone, in an encrypted database; the key is kept in the iOS keychain. We do not receive them, cannot see them and cannot recover them.

Backup and sharing

The backup is an encrypted file that you export and keep wherever you like. If you share it, the recipient and the service you choose receive it. Without the backup password the file cannot be opened, not even by us.

Documents

You pick payslips, invoices and contracts with the system controls; they are read on the phone and sent to no one.

Notifications and Face ID

Notifications are scheduled only on the phone and contain no amounts or names. Face ID or your passcode, if you enable them, are handled by iOS: Gustav only receives the outcome (success or not), never biometric data.

Purchases

Pro features, when available, are bought through the App Store: Apple handles the payment and we receive no card or payment data.

No ads, no tracking

Gustav contains no advertising, analytics tools or tracking. If you choose in iOS settings to share analytics with developers, Apple may give us aggregated, anonymous information about installs and crashes.

If you write to us

If you contact us for support we receive your email address and what you write. We use them only to reply and keep them as long as needed to handle the request. The mailbox is hosted by the provider Aruba. Do not send data of the people you manage, or passwords.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction and portability of the data you sent us, and object to processing, by writing to us. You may complain to the Italian data protection authority (Garante) or to the authority of your country. Data inside the app stays under your control: just use the app or delete it.

Changes

If Gustav changes how it handles data, we will update this page and the app before the change.
